CHARACTER INTERPRETATION
» Appearance: A striking woman who stands 5'5", Bo has long dark brown hair and brown eyes. She's curvy, but toned and thankfully it's not something she has to work at keeping. She normally wears clothes that some would deem revealing - corset tops or tank tops (most always revealing a good amount of cleavage), tight pants or short skirts, topped off with either a black leather jacket or the red leather jacket that belonged to her mother Aife. She also loves to wear heeled boots, adding a few more inches to her height.
» Suitability: n/a
» Orientation: Canonly Bo is bi-sexual. She's had relationships, both emotional and sexual, with members of both sexes. She's been in emotional relationships with both Dyson and Lauren, and actually loves them both very deeply. She is shown more sexually active with males, but she actually doesn't have a preference.
» Personality: Being trust head first into a world where each Fae is expected to decide whether they are going to be light or dark, and refusing to pick a side, Bo established pretty early that she won't follow other people's rules and will do what she feels is right, no matter what others think. This hasn't made her overly popular with either side in the Fae community, because she is the first Fae to ever be right in the middle of the two sides. She likes this though, it leaves her independent and able to move freely between the two . She has stated to both sides, after being put through a couple of 'tests' that she picked humanity and will in effect do as she wants. The ability to move between the two sides does have its pluses and its draw backs though - plus she gets to help more people - human and Fae a like, draw back being she doesn't have the protection of either side.
Bo grew up in a normal human family and didn't know what she was for the longest time. She grew up thinking she was a normal human being and it wasn't until her first sexual encounter that she found out she was anything but normal. She killed a boy with her powers and terrified by what she had done, took off and was pretty much on the run since then. She's killed a lot of people over the years and despite knowing that each of those deaths was truly a matter of her survival, she still feels incredibly guilty, and will probably feel guilty over those deaths for the remainder of her life. Since she has found out what she is, she has gone to extreme lengths to learn how to control her abilities, taking lessons from Lauren and attempting to only feed off of other Fae.
When Bo found out she had been adopted, she tried to search for the truth about her birth parents. The only thing her adoptive parents had that offered any sort of clue was a baby blanket with the name 'Bo' embroidered on a corner. Not knowing who her birth parents were grew to be a big weakness of hers. She would do anything if she felt she was on the path to any sort of discovery about them - be it stepping on the wrong Fae's toes or just putting herself in danger, she really didn't care. She just wanted the truth. Even though she had an almost desperate need to find out about her birth parents, Bo has never stopped loving the people she called her parents her whole life. It's very likely those two people who truly helped shape Bo into the kind hearted person she is, and helped teach her to stand up for what she thinks and believes in.
Even though she's had Kenzi's help in dealing with her knowledge of what she is, it still took her quite some time to come to terms with it. It wasn't easy knowing that she could and most likely would cause the death of anyone non Fae who got too close to her, nor was it easy to reconcile the deaths she'd caused over the last ten years. She was so use to running whenever she was forced to feed in order to survive, that actually putting down ties, making friends, and trusting in those around her was a huge step for her - so huge that she doesn't always stop to ask help of those who can help, instead mostly plunging in head first, and most normally getting herself into some sort of trouble. She does at times still felt the urge to flee, but her ties with Kenzi, Trick, Lauren and Dyson keeps her grounded and they all in their own ways help her realize that being a Succubus isn't something she should ever be ashamed of being. Also, her birth mother, Aoife, helped her see that she wasn't the same as other Succubi, and that she was good and didn't set out to use her powers for personal gain nor did she use them to purposely set out to hurt anyone. All in all, Bo has come to realize that she likes what she is and even though she's indeed a succubus, she doesn't and won't live like they do: using humans and Fae alike to further her own interests or use them as her own personal slaves. She instead wants to use her powers to help those who need it.
Friendship is very important to Bo. Because of what she is, she didn't have the ability to allow anyone to get close to her. Thankfully due to her learning some control over her abilities she has been allowed to let people in. She truly cares about the people she lets into her life and would really do anything for them. This is can probably be said about a lot of people, but with Bo, it's actual truth. When she cares for someone, she embraces them full heartedly and probably ends up caring too much and trusting too much. But at the same time once the trust is broken, it can take a lot to get back on her good side and to get her to trust again - much like what happened with her lover Lauren. Lauren broke her trust and it took some time for Bo to even start forgiving her and longer until she trusted her again. Bo's biggest show of trusting too much is shown with her birth mother Aoife, who first became part of her life by pretending to just be another Succubus, even though she knew exactly who Bo was. Even when Bo found out who Aoife really was, she wanted to believe that her mother was good and would help her understand what she really was. She even wanted to help Aoife be a better person/Fae herself despite Aoife's show of having no interest in changing.
Her thinking she couldn't have friends let alone lovers has made the ties Bo has made to others since she's come to terms with what she is very close ones. Those she deems as friends and loved ones know that they can rely on Bo if they ever need help. They actually don't have to say anything to her or ask for her help, she'll go out of her way to ensure that they have it. She's willing to put her own life at risk if she thinks that one of them might be in danger - like the time she allowed herself to be 'drowned' in order to get to the same plane of existence that Kenzi had been whisked to by Baba Yaga- and will even do things like work for people she doesn't particularly care for in order to get information so she can help them (agreeing to work for The Ash to get information to save Kenzi). She'll even use her powers to help them, using them to get information out of reluctant informants.
She will kill if necessary, like when she killed Nadia in order to save Lauren. It's not something she would ever think of doing first, but she will if there is no other option available to her. While some of the actions she might have to take in order to save her loved ones, and at times not so loved one, might leave her feeling some degree of guilt, she never feels bad about the actual saving. What she does feel guilty about are the lives she had to take in order to reach that goal, but she really does know that in the end if someone dies, there was truly no other option or way around it. There has been one time when Lauren's life was in jeopardy that Bo's powers actually increased, giving her the ability to drain the life force of multiple beings and end up killing them all in order to keep Lauren safe. Bo has no idea what happened or why it even happened, but she thinks it could be possible that the love she felt for Lauren somehow enhanced her abilities. She hasn't been able to tap into those intense powers since then, and Trick hasn't even been able to tell her what happened.
The closest person to her would be Kenzi, her human best friend, housemate and her partner in a private investigating business. Bo loves Kenzi as a sister and would do anything for her. The two have a very close sisterly bond and Bo couldn't imagine her life without Kenzi there with her entertaining and sometimes illegal antics. Kenzi is the one person that Bo knows that no matter what she can turn to. The two seem to turn to alcohol (wine at home, the hard stuff at the bar.) as a way to deal with all the craziness that is continually in their lives, but Bo is in no way an alcoholic. In fact the two can be found a lot at The Dal, a neutral bar owned by Trick, who Bo is very close with. He's taught her a lot about being Fae, and is her source on anything Fae which Bo doesn't know about - which just so happens to be a lot. Bo respects him greatly, not only for his knowledge, but because he's kind and seems to hold humans in the same regard she does - which counterdicts many of the Fae's view on humans (most see them as humans see cattle).
Despite being a succubus, her love life has pretty much sucked. While she always knew what love was, she'd never truly experienced it until she found out she was a Fae. Dyson, her former boyfriend, she shares a very complicated relationship with. He was one of the few people Bo would turn to when she needed to feed or to heal because being a Fae (werewolf) he was able to have a sexual relationship without her harming him. Bo cares deeply for him and even loves him. He sacrificed the love he had for her without her knowing to aide in her battle against her mother. They've managed to become friends again and though Bo was hurt when she found out what he'd done, she still loves him. Lauren, a human doctor owned by the light Fae is the other romantic interest in Bo's life. Bo and her shared a strong sexual and romantic interest after Bo's relationship with Dyson ended, though it didn't last long as Bo helped find a cure for Lauren's girlfriend, Nadia (who'd been in a cursed induced coma for several years), but the two managed to remain friends. But after Bo was forced to kill Nadia because she was possessed by a great evil Fae (The Garuda) and had attacked Lauren. She feels terrible and would do anything to have been able to have found a way around killing Nadia, but it was something which had to be done.
Helping others seems to be something that Bo just has to do no matter what. From the very beginning of the series she continually puts herself at risk in order to help others. Like with Kenzi, Bo saved her with her abilities after Kenzi had been drugged and was more than likely going to be sexually assaulted. Bo did that knowing she was going to have to go on the run again. Even after she found out what she truly was, she would always seem to go out of her way to help the underdog in a situation, hating that some go after others merely because they have more power. On more than one occasion this thought process alone has caused her to stand up to both The Ash (leader of the Light Fae) and The Morrigan (leader of the Dark Fae) and butt heads with them - which truly hasn't helped in their liking of her at all.
Being a succubus, Bo is a very sexual person. Flirting comes naturally to her and she is very confident in her sexuality. She's attracted to both sexes and has had relationships with both men and women. Bo isn't use to rejection and funnily the first time she was rejected, didn't even realize she had been and it had to be pointed out to her by Kenzi. Kenzi actually points out a lot of things to her - like her not liking to have to rely on others for help because she had grown so use to having to take care of herself over the years. She can be rather brash and tends to make impulsive decisions when she's upset, like going after Vex when she thought he had information about her birth mother. She's cocky, often biting off more than she can handle and that would normally have her having to knock on Dyson's door, needing his help to heal after a fight. She can also have quite the mouth on her - calling people/Fae asshats and things similar to that. Despite her stubbornness and her cockiness, Bo is still a good person at heart. She really does put others before herself, she has a conscience (unlike most Succubi) and is willing to go head to head with her own kind to protect others.

[The feed starts, and there's a woman sitting on her bed in the palace, with the sheet wrapped around her. She doesn't look overly pissed, more annoyed than anything.]
Okay, as much as this is possibly one of the nicest places I've ever found myself in, I want to know which one of you asshats brought me here and put this [she points to her collar.] on me. Not funny. Not in the least bit. And making it so I can't call for actual help? Great.
[She sighs, sliding off the bed, dragging the sheet with her.]
Really, as fun as a vacation in some place like this would be? I have crap to do. [She frowns, reaching up and scratching at the edge of her collar.] Oh, c'mon! This is getting frickin' old already!
[She might be getting a bit worried.]
Kenzi? Trick? [She peers down at the device in her hands.] Can anyone actually hear me on this?
» Third Person Sample Choice: prompt one because I'm old skool yo
Murmuring happily under her breath, Bo rolled over onto her back and stretched out, running her hands along her naked body. Man, she felt good, her body still tingling from what felt like an incredible night of mind blowing, furniture destroying -
"Shit!" She quickly sat up, her eyes snapping open as she looked to the empty spot beside her. Last night Kenzi had slept with her. There was NO way she'd slept with Kenzi, not like that at least. And she was pretty damn sure she'd remember getting up to find someone to drag into her bed in the middle of the night. She frowned though. Not her bed... And no Kenzi or anyone else. Just her and a bunch of empty space.
"What the hell?" She pulled the silky sheets around her as she turned to better survey the room. Her eyebrows shot up and slowly she slipped from the bed. There was a pile of clothing near the foot of the bed - hopefully hers. Not her room, or anywhere in her house. She looked around, clutching the sheet. Not unless Kenzi had somehow managed to make over their house to look like something out of a cheesy Greek history movie.
She'd just reached the window when she stopped, froze actually, her heart beginning to pound. She didn't feel... Hungry. Or even like she'd just fed, didn't even... What the hell? She frowned, her eyebrows drawing together as she tried to figure out what was going on. She didn't feel anything other than sore muscles and that great spent sex feeling... But, nothing else. Had someone disabled her powers somehow? Disabled them and put her in this... She peeked out the window, some frickin' Greek island??
"Okay! Haha!" she called out, spinning around as she looked around suspiciously. "This isn't funny anymore." Not that it had started out funny, but that wasn't the point. She reached up, tucking her hair behind her ear and her fingers brushed against something around her neck. "What the--" She all but ran to the bathroom, forgetting to hold her sheet and losing it in the process.
She stared at her reflection in horror, her fingers moving slowly over the leather choker around her neck before coming to finger the little charm on it. "What kind of shit is this?" she growled, her eyes narrowing dangerously as she stared at her reflection. She had no idea what was going on, but between everything she'd woken up to already? Oh, someone's ass was going to be introduced to her stiletto heels and her frickin fist.
